Back to Basics

Yesterday a weight was lifted... from my shoulders that is.

Leonard announced his intentions to change his eating habits, starting June 1st.  He says he will be eating primarily whole foods- fruits, veggies, meats, some cheese and sour cream and smoothies.  There will be no more processed foods, grains, junk.  It felt good to hear him say that because I've been thinking for a while now that I need to get back on track with my own weight loss.  It's hard when both people in a relationship aren't on the same page or at the same place in their lives.  That's not to say it can't be done, I'm just saying it's hard.  And I knew that I needed to get serious, with or without him.  I'm so happy it will be with him.

I'll be back on Sunday (if not before) to post a weigh in so you all know where I'm starting.  I actually weigh every day.  It works for me.  Weight can creep on so fast and I don't want that to happen so by stepping on the scale every day I'm able to stay more accountable.  But Sunday will be my official weigh in day for blogging purposes.

I'm looking forward to revisiting this journey.  And I'm so happy I decided to share it publicly.  I do hope I'll make some new friends along the way and find some support as well as offer some.  It really is amazing what one can accomplish with a little support.

Until next time-
I wish you health and happiness.
